About this camp: Ecobasket is an initiative by ASTOVOT national volunteers that promotes basketball while protecting the environment, aiming to foster a culture of sustainability among the youth in Kpalim and surrounding villages. The project includes basketball training sessions focusing on ecological principles, educational workshops on environmental issues, and community events like ecological basketball tournaments.




Work: – Prepare a training programme to raise awareness of eco-actions in collaboration with the national volunteer training team.- Implement awareness-raising workshops on global warming and environmental protection.- Develop and maintain basketball courts in Kpalim and nearby villages (weeding, tracing, installation of hoops, etc.).- Organise training sessions for children introducing them to basketball.- Prepare and organise sessions to collect and sort plastic bags in various public places in Kpalim.



Accommodation and Food: – International volunteers are accommodated with Togolese host families chosen for proximity to the volunteer’s work.- Host families provide a private room, drinking water, and three meals a day, tailored to each volunteer’s dietary needs.- Volunteers maintain independence and total immersion in Togolese life.



Leisure Activities: – Kpalim is ideal for nature lovers and hikers, offering beautiful landscapes and tropical flora.- Numerous natural waterfalls provide refreshing spots for volunteers.- Volunteers can engage in discovery walks, hikes, festive outings, and cultural encounters with the local population.
