About this camp: Volunteers will engage in various agricultural activities including mulching, drip irrigation, and pest control while staying in basic classroom accommodations. They will also have the opportunity to learn about local development challenges and participate in intercultural exchanges during their stay.
Work: – Mulching existing crops and trees- Implementing drip irrigation on crops and trees using bottles- Raising seedlings in seedling packets- Teaching community members- Conducting pest control by spraying pesticides
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in classrooms at the school with basic living conditions.- Volunteers will cook their own meals using foodstuffs provided by KVDA.- Drinking water should be boiled or medicated, with mineral water recommended from supermarkets.
Leisure Activities: – KVDA offers educational tours to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.- Educational tours to Lake Nakuru National Park are also available.- Specific tour information can be obtained upon request.
