About this camp: The workcamp focuses on weaving art and women’s training to enhance self-awareness and confidence building while experiencing local development challenges through home visits. Volunteers will stay in a community-provided house and will have the opportunity to cook their own meals, with educational tours available to notable sites such as Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru.
Work: – Weaving art projects aimed at empowering women through self-awareness training.- Home visits to understand and experience local development challenges.- Engaging in community activities to promote social awareness.- Cooking meals in turns with provided foodstuffs by KVDA.- Volunteers will have exposure to local living conditions to enhance their experience.
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation provided by the host community with basic living conditions.- Volunteers will cook their meals in turns using provided foodstuffs.- Access to drinking water from springs, recommended to be boiled or medicated.
Leisure Activities: – Educational tours to Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park available at additional fees.- Opportunities to learn about local wildlife and conservation efforts.- Cultural immersion experiences through guided tours.
