About this camp: This workcamp involves activities such as mulching existing crops and trees, drip irrigation, pest control, and vegetable harvesting, while providing volunteers with an immersive experience in local culture and nature. Volunteers will stay in a homestay, sharing amenities and meals with a host family, and have the opportunity to explore Kenya’s rich heritage and natural beauty.




Work: – Mulching existing crops and trees- Drip irrigation using bottles placed under trees- Raising seedlings in seed packets- Teaching and pest control through pesticide spraying- Vegetable harvesting with flexibility for other community duties



Accommodation and Food: – Home stay with a private room and shared amenities- Volunteers should bring sleeping bags, mats, and personal effects- KVDA has a memorandum with the host project for cost management



Leisure Activities: – Kenya offers numerous interesting and natural sites for exploration- Tours to Maasai Mara Game Reserve and local community visits- An opportunity to experience traditional African culture
