About this camp: The workcamp focuses on protecting newly planted trees along the ‘Alte Nebel’ river, where over 200,000 trees have been planted to restore the local ecosystem. Participants will protect 600 to 700 trees using wire trousers to prevent beaver damage, while learning about nature and environmental protection from local forestry staff.
Work: – Protect 600 to 700 trees using wire trousers- Utilize wildlife fencing and recycled plastic stakes- Collaborate with local forestry office staff- Learn about local flora, fauna, and ecosystem relevance- Reduce the use of plant protection products and fertilizers
Accommodation and Food: – Stay at Haus der Begegnung Lssow, a self-catering house- Accommodations include rooms for 5, 3, and 2 people with kitchen facilities- Vegetarian or vegan meals available, with funds provided for shopping
Leisure Activities: – Enjoy sports and evenings around the campfire- Cycle through the landscape conservation area- Take trips to Rostock, Berlin, Hamburg, or Baltic Sea beaches
