About this camp: For over 30 years, work camp groups have supported the Lautenthal forestry district in ecological tasks in the Upper Harz, contributing to climate protection and preserving habitats for rare plants and animals. Participants will engage in nature conservation work, care for young deciduous trees, and gain insights into the ecological and social tasks of a forestry office.




Work: – Support maintenance measures in the Lautenthal forestry district- Contribute to nature conservation and environmental protection- Care for young deciduous trees- Design nature-oriented water features- Repair benches, shelters, and hiking signs



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation at Wanderheim Wildemann youth hostel with shared rooms- Group cooking with provided budget for food, vegetarian and vegan options available- Groceries can be delivered twice a week, with the forester assisting with shopping lists



Leisure Activities: – Explore the Harz Mountains, known for hiking trails and natural attractions- Organized hike to Brocken, the highest mountain in the region- Visit local attractions like swimming pools and mining museums
