About this camp: The Springhornhof Foundation in the Lneburg Heath is the funding organisation for one of Europe’s pioneering landscape art projects, featuring over forty works of land art created since the 1970s. Participants will engage in restoration work during the first week and collaborate with artists to create experimental films about the sculptures in the second week, culminating in a film festival.
Work: – Assist in the restoration of land art by repainting, cleaning, and making small repairs.- Collaborate with artists to create experimental films and sound recordings.- Work in teams to document and explore the sculptures creatively.- Edit and cut recordings into short reels for presentation.- Celebrate the completion of projects with a landscape art film festival.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay in the guest studio of the Springhornhof and the nearby pilgrims’ hostel.- Cook meals together with provided funds for shopping.- Vegetarian and vegan meal options are available; allergies must be reported.
Leisure Activities: – Explore the nature park Lneburg Heath, a popular cultural destination.- Enjoy local amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool and ice cream parlour.- Participate in horseback riding, visit a sheep farm, and use bikes for local trips.
