About this camp: Join a team to improve the health and lifespan of over 100 fruit trees in an extensively used orchard, contributing to biodiversity in a historically rich landscape. You’ll harvest remaining fruits and trim trees to promote their longevity, with a focus on creating habitats for wildlife.
Work: – Harvest remaining fruits from the trees.- Cut and trim trees to enhance their lifespan.- Use tools and climb ladders to access upper parts of trees.- Participate in a biodiversity-focused project in a species-rich habitat.- Work 5 days a week with 2 days off.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay at a youth campsite just 50 meters from the orchard.- Facilities include showers, toilets, and a barn for lounging.- Volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning, encouraging sustainable meal choices.
Leisure Activities: – Explore hiking trails and a cultural landscape trail in the surrounding forests.- Enjoy a barbecue area and a swimming lake accessible by a short hike.- Visit local attractions like a brewery and the historical town of Schwbisch Hall.
