About this camp: We invite 12 international volunteers to help continue the construction of the Celtic housing complex in Bopfingen, where previous workcamp groups, local volunteers, and professional craftsmen have been collaborating. The work includes finishing the walls and floors using natural materials and will be guided by a professional instructor, requiring no previous experience.
Work: – Continue construction of the Celtic housing complex in Bopfingen.- Finish walls and floors using natural materials like clay, wood, and stone.- Work outdoors on top of the hill Ipf with a view over the region.- Manual work led by a professional instructor, no previous experience needed.- Work approximately 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay at a local gym hall, 10 minutes from the city center and 15 minutes from the train station.- Camp beds provided, but bring your own sleeping bag; kitchen available for cooking.- Volunteers responsible for grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning, with encouragement to reduce meat consumption.
Leisure Activities: – Explore Bopfingen’s beautiful center with old German-style houses.- Hike on the historically significant hill Ipf, known for its Celtic heritage.- Visit nearby museums, the romantic city of Nrdlingen, and the meteor impact crater Ries.
