About this camp: Support the transformation of an abandoned gravel pit into an ecologically valuable habitat, including the creation of a pond, deadwood areas, and a circular path. This project will provide new habitats for various species and will be used for environmental education with children and young people, in cooperation with local authorities for nature protection.
Work: – Transform an abandoned gravel pit into an ecologically valuable habitat.- Construct a pond, deadwood areas, and a circular path.- Engage in digging, straightening, planting, sawing, and nailing.- Collaborate with local authorities and receive guidance from a landscape gardener.- Work with a variety of tasks of different difficulty levels, supported by gravel company workers as needed.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay in basic and sustainable living conditions next to the gravel pit.- Cooking occurs in an improvised outdoor kitchen, with food purchased by volunteers.- Sleeping arrangements include tents with camping beds and access to basic sanitation facilities.
Leisure Activities: – Explore the nearby town of Weienfels, known for its historic architecture and local shops.- Participate in excursions with local residents to discover regional highlights.- Engage in activities that promote community interaction and exploration.
