About this camp: The workcamp focuses on conserving the cultural heritage site of Hampi, collaborating with organizations like UNESCO and ASI. Participants will engage in activities to protect historical monuments and raise awareness among locals and tourists about the importance of these sites.




Work: – Clean and maintain monuments dating back to 1 CE to preserve cultural heritage.- Conduct sessions on waste management in schools and install garbage bins in the community.- Construct hand wash basins and provide training on self-survival skills.- Create street plays to promote awareness of heritage conservation.- Educate the public on heritage conservation by painting murals in public areas.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be in a rented guest house or hostel with shared rooms.- South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be provided for all meals.- Safe, filtered water is available for drinking.



Leisure Activities: – Take a coracle ride in the Tungabhadra river, a traditional mode of transport.- Hire a bicycle to explore interesting ruins and go bouldering or trekking.- Visit historical landmarks such as Vijaya Vittala, Virupaksha and Krishna temples, and the ancient elephant stable.
