About this camp: Kundapur, located near the Arabian Sea in Karnataka, is a vibrant town known for its biodiversity in the Western Ghats. This workcamp will offer volunteers an opportunity to engage in community service, cultural learning, and social interaction while participating in various development projects alongside local NGOs.
Work: – Understand the social and cultural aspects of the local community.- Participate in awareness activities focused on waste management and environmental conservation.- Engage in agricultural practices such as crop cultivation and organic gardening.- Experience cultural exchange through visits to local families and cultural sites.- Involve in non-formal education and renovation work at local schools.
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be at FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living in shared rooms.- Three meals a day consisting of South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be provided.- Safe, filtered water will be available for drinking.
Leisure Activities: – Visit cultural and religious sites, including the Anjaneya statue and Kotilingeshwara temple.- Enjoy the natural beauty of Kodi Beach and participate in boating on the backwaters of Kundapur.- Engage with the local fisherman community and experience unique landscapes like Maravanthe.
