About this camp: This artistic work camp aims to train volunteers in various art techniques, including BATIK, painting, pottery, and traditional jewelry making, while fostering entrepreneurial skills among women. Volunteers will collaborate with local artists and participate in community projects, with proceeds supporting local children’s initiatives and environmental efforts.
Work: – Learn BATIK techniques including printing on canvas, T-shirts, and loincloths.- Engage in painting decorative pictures and sculpting with wood and ceramic.- Master traditional pottery techniques and create items for sale.- Collaborate with local artists and participate in community projects.- Exhibit and sell created art to fund local initiatives.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay in the FAGAD home with basic amenities including electricity and modern toilets.- Accommodations include beds and mattresses, with internet access available for a fee.- Meals consist of both Togolese and European cuisine, prepared collaboratively by volunteers.
Leisure Activities: – Participate in cultural activities including percussion and dance around the fire.- Experience a day with an African family focused on local traditions and customs.- Explore nearby tourist attractions such as Mount Kloto and local waterfalls.
