About this camp: Volunteers at the Development for Cambodian Children (DCC) project engage in activities such as teaching English and computer skills, organizing community cleaning campaigns, supporting emergency relief efforts, and leading sports sessions, fostering a deep connection with the local community. They will be accommodated in a shared house with essential amenities and will assist with meals prepared by a local chef. Free time offers opportunities to explore Battambang’s cultural sites and enjoy local cuisine.
Work: – Teach English, basic computer skills, and coding to enhance academic opportunities.- Organize and participate in community cleaning campaigns and recycling projects.- Support emergency relief efforts, including food distribution and building infrastructure.- Lead sports and recreation sessions to promote teamwork and fitness.- Connect deeply with the local community through various meaningful activities.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in a shared house with host family providing essential amenities.- Each volunteer receives a mattress, pillow, blanket, and mosquito net for comfort.- Meals are prepared by a local chef, with opportunities to assist and learn local cooking skills.
Leisure Activities: – Explore ancient temples like Wat Ek Phnom and Phnom Banan during free time.- Enjoy a scenic ride on the famous Bamboo Train through the countryside.- Participate in cycling tours through rice fields and local villages to appreciate nature.
