About this camp: Volunteers will engage in activities such as tilling the land, planting crops, maintaining domesticated animals, and assisting in teaching at the local daycare. Additionally, they will participate in maintenance tasks around the center and organize extra-curricular activities for children.




Work: – Tilling the land and planting crops.- Maintaining and feeding domesticated animals including rabbits, chickens, and turkeys.- Assisting in cleaning animal sheds.- Teaching basic subjects to kindergarten pupils at Learn and Play Day Care.- Conducting maintenance activities at the center such as landscaping and repairs.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be in shared rooms; volunteers must bring their own sleeping bags and mosquito nets.- Meals will be prepared using locally available foodstuffs, with volunteers sharing cooking responsibilities.- Safe drinking water is provided, with the option to purchase mineral water nearby.



Leisure Activities: – Evening walks and home visits are available for volunteers.- Cultural meetings and games will be organized.- Weekend excursions to Lake Victoria and Kakamega Rainforest will be offered.
