About this camp: This workcamp involves farm work such as weeding, digging, and planting, along with fetching water, caring for trees, and assisting local schools through sports and mentoring. Volunteers will also help renovate houses for the elderly and control invasive plant species while participating in evening walks and cultural activities.
Work: – Weeding, digging, and planting in local farms- Fetching water from local reservoirs- Planting and caring for trees in homesteads- Participating in sports and mentoring at local schools- Renovating houses for the elderly
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation in shared rooms with a requirement for a sleeping bag and mosquito net- Volunteers will prepare food using locally available ingredients- Safe drinking water is provided throughout the camp
Leisure Activities: – Evening walks and cultural meetings- Home visits and games- Weekend trips to local attractions including Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Tsavo National Park
