About this camp: Volunteers will assist teachers in educating children by writing lessons on the blackboard, teaching them to pronounce words and count numbers, and engaging them with stories and personal health education. They will stay with a host family in Buruburu or Sosian Estate, with meals provided and opportunities to explore Nairobi’s attractions.
Work: – Assisting teachers in writing lessons on the blackboard for the children- Assisting in teaching children to write and pronounce words- Assisting children in counting numbers for basic mathematics- Playing with the children- Teaching young teenage girls about personal sanitation and health
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will live in a host family around Buruburu or Sosian Estate.- Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the family.- Lunch will be served in school.
Leisure Activities: – Volunteers will have an opportunity to visit Nairobi central district.- Visits to the giraffe centre are included.- Nairobi National Park is among the places volunteers can explore.
