About this camp: The workcamp involves assisting in teaching at Kimuka Primary School, counseling students on early pregnancies, and empowering women through education on rights and health. Volunteers will also engage in agriculture, beadwork, and support community projects while being accommodated in a host house near Ngong Hills.
Work: – Assist in teaching at Kimuka Primary School- Counsel students to prevent early pregnancies and marriages- Help source educational sponsors for bright students- Teach women about their rights and health- Support community projects and agricultural activities
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteer will stay in a host house with a view of Ngong Hills- Food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) provided using locally available ingredients- Bring sleeping bag, pillow, mosquito net, and insect repellent for comfort
Leisure Activities: – Engage in nature walks around Ngong Hills- Participate in beadwork activities- Assist with agriculture and animal health tasks
