About this camp: The volunteers take care of the chestnut forests, mainly involving grass cutting and haymaking between the trees. The work is physically demanding and conducted on steep land, typically for 6 hours a day, and volunteers will be accommodated in a mountain-house with shared facilities.
Work: – Volunteers will engage in grass cutting and haymaking between trees.- The work may also include landscape conservation tasks like clearing bushes and collecting stones.- Physical fitness is required due to steep terrain.- Working hours are generally 6 hours a day, subject to weather conditions.- Volunteers will be especially needed during busy summer weeks.
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation is in a mountain-house with one mixed bedroom.- Volunteers can bring their own tents if preferred, and they will prepare their own food.- Basic facilities include toilets and showers with hot water; no washing machine or internet access.
Leisure Activities: – Volunteers will participate in conservation work for the chestnut forests.- There may be opportunities for additional landscape conservation activities.- Group cooking and meal preparation will be a part of the experience.
