About this camp: During the workcamp, volunteers will reconstruct dry stone walls along a historic road in the first week, learning a traditional handcraft that preserves cultural heritage and supports biodiversity. In the second week, they will assist organic farmers in maintaining alpine grazing lands, contributing to the protection of alpine biodiversity in a stunning landscape.
Work: – Reconstruct dry stone walls along a historic road during the first week.- Learn a traditional handcraft that preserves cultural heritage.- Support organic farmers in maintaining alpine grazing lands during the second week.- Perform tasks like removing trees and bushes and trail maintenance.- Renew fences around ponds to protect biodiversity in those areas.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a spacious underground accommodation with comfortable sleeping quarters.- Mattresses, woolen blankets, and bedsheets are provided, but a warm sleeping bag is recommended.- Accommodation includes washing facilities, multiple toilets, showers, and WiFi, albeit slow.
Leisure Activities: – Engage in reconstructing dry stone walls as a form of cultural heritage preservation.- Participate in the maintenance and protection of alpine biodiversity.- Enjoy breathtaking views and the natural beauty of the alpine landscape.
