About this camp: In 2025, maintenance work will be conducted at the Monts-de-Bex biodiversity sanctuary, including rebuilding 20 meters of dry stone wall, maintaining dry meadows, and removing an old barbed wire fence that threatens wildlife. Volunteers will learn dry stone wall techniques, engage in physically demanding work, and experience the unique landscape of Monts-de-Bex.
Work: – Rebuild 20 meters of dry stone wall with professional assistance.- Maintain dry meadows and remove invasive plants.- Remove an old barbed wire fence endangering wildlife.- Participate in various conservation activities.- Learn dry stone wall techniques.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a renovated 19th-century chalet with kitchen and shower facilities.- Bring a sleeping bag and mattress cover (90x190cm).- Volunteers share floors with twin beds; camping mattresses are allowed for personal space.
Leisure Activities: – Explore the unique landscape of Monts-de-Bex.- Engage in biodiversity conservation activities.- Participate in workshops on dry stone wall techniques.
