About this camp: The Rochefort-en-Yvelines castle, known as “Chateau Gui Le Rouge”, has been a historic monument since 1931. For the past four years, volunteers from around the world have been revitalizing this strategic fortress by clearing ruins and creating new access paths, allowing the village and its 12th-century church to regain stunning views.
Work: – Clearing invasive vegetation to uncover buried stones- Cleaning stones to reveal historical structures- Creating paths to enhance viewpoints- Receiving guidance from a technical supervisor- No skills required, just motivation and a desire for a collective adventure
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation at the village hall within a leisure area- Outdoor space with barbecue and sports fields available- Participation in meal planning, shopping, and cleanliness of shared spaces
Leisure Activities: – Exploring the charming medieval village of Rochefort-en-Yvelines- Discovering nearby natural and cultural sites like the medieval castle of Dourdan- Engaging in community activities and decision-making for group events
