About this camp: The World Village Festival, held in Helsinki, is dedicated to enhancing its environmental initiatives, offering only vegetarian food and minimizing waste through recyclable containers. Volunteers engage in various tasks including setting up and taking down festival infrastructure, with post-festival discussions on environmental responsibility and greenwashing at a seaside camp.




Work: – Build the festival area by carrying fences, tables, and setting up tents and signs.- Assist in keeping the festival area tidy during the event.- Work in the recycling team to ensure proper waste disposal.- Participate in take-down work after the festival.- Engage in discussions on environmental themes at the seaside camp.



Accommodation and Food: – First week stay at a hostel near the festival site in central Helsinki.- Move to seaside accommodation after the festival.- Only vegetarian food is available for sale at the festival.



Leisure Activities: – The camp is located in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.- The festival takes place in the Suvilahti event area, a cultural site.- Volunteers can enjoy close proximity to nature and the sea.
