About this camp: The project consists of supporting families engaged in self-employment by enhancing their income-generating activities such as home gardening and workshops. Volunteers engage with the community, fostering connections while sharing their cultures and experiences, all while staying with a welcoming host family in a village house near Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site.




Work: – Support families in self-employment through income-generating activities.- Enhance home gardening and family workshops.- Engage with local communities including youth and self-help groups.- Foster meaningful connections with locals.- Share cultural experiences with host families.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a village house with a welcoming host family.- Enjoy delicious meals prepared by the host mother.- Access to electricity and filtered drinking water.



Leisure Activities: – Explore Higurakgoda, a suburb of Polonnaruwa.- Visit numerous archaeological sites in the area.- Experience the local paddy farming lifestyle.
