About this camp: The project focuses on supporting families in self-employment by enhancing their income-generating activities, such as home gardening and workshops, while also engaging with local communities, including youth and institutions. Volunteers will experience local culture and foster connections during their stay in a village house with a host family, conveniently located near key amenities.




Work: – Support families in self-employment through income-generating activities.- Enhance home gardening and family workshops.- Engage with local communities, including self-help groups and youth.- Foster meaningful connections with locals through cultural exchange.- Visit local institutions like temples and kindergartens.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a village house with a welcoming host family.- Enjoy delicious meals prepared by the host mother.- Access to electricity and filtered drinking water.



Leisure Activities: – Explore Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site.- Visit archaeological sites related to the second ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka.- Experience local paddy farming in a low-density population area.
