Support the educational centre Kell am See, an important place for youth work in the whole area of Trier, by doing environmental and maintenance works. Cutting the grass and bushes. Renovating/taking care of the playground and its big swing, the low rope course, the tree houses and the sports grounds. Tending the herbs garden and the insect hotel. Building wooden benches. Cleaning the grounds of the centre. Continue to upgrade the outdoor area pedagogically and create new offers.

You will stay in five several wooden tepees for max. five persons each. Surrounded by pure nature, with the campfire in the middle of the circle of tepees. Own kitchen including a dishwasher, a living room, and sanitary facilities. Tepees have beds and electricity but no heating, bring a warm sleeping bag. Heating available in the kitchen and living room. Wifi is available. Volunteers responsible for grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning together. Food bought with the camp budget, everyone takes turns for cooking, washing dishes, and cleaning. Encouraged to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

Kell am See is a village 30 km from Trier, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Area is well known for cycling, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Holiday resort with more than 200 holiday bungalows next to a lake. Region offers plenty of historic sites (castles, museums). Opportunity to come in contact with local associations, e.g., the local voluntary fire brigade. Limited number of excursions due to poor public transport but will visit Trier. Famous for its Roman sites, its cathedral, and being the birthplace of Karl Marx.
